Terms of Use
Written to be read.
These terms are the agreement between you and Salvatore Manzi, Inc., doing business as Leadership Communications, for using salvatoremanzi.com and Clear and Compelling AI. The short version: use the site and the coach to become a clearer communicator, respect the work behind them, and know that the coach is AI.
Using the website means you accept these terms. Creating a coach account means you accept them on purpose, with the checkbox at signup.

Part one: the website
The content is Salvatore’s. The articles, guides, frameworks, videos, and downloads on this site belong to Salvatore Manzi, Inc. Read them, use them in your own work and life, and share links to them freely. Republishing them, selling them, or building training programs from them needs written permission.
Forms and signups. When you send an inquiry or join an email list, you agree to give accurate details. What happens to that information is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Links out. Links to book retailers, podcasts, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other sites leave this one. Those sites follow their own terms.
Coaching, speaking, and cohort engagements run under their own written agreements. These terms cover the website only.
Part two: Clear and Compelling AI
What the coach is
Clear and Compelling AI is an artificial intelligence coach built on the methods in Clear and Compelling. It helps you prepare talking points, polish presentations, work through communication challenges, and practice skills.
Every reply comes from AI. Salvatore designed the coach and reviews how it performs, and he does not write or approve its answers one by one. That means:
- It can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
- It gives no professional advice. Nothing it says is legal, medical, mental health, financial, or HR advice. For those, talk with a qualified professional.
- Results depend on you. The coach offers suggestions, drafts, and practice. What you say, and how it lands, stays in your hands.
- It is no place for a crisis. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services.
Who can use it
You need to be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. One account per person. Keep your password to yourself and let support@salvatoremanzi.com know if you think someone else has used your account.
Free access, and paid plans later
Free trial. A new account includes a free allowance of use, enough to try the coach on real work. No payment details are needed.
The book benefit. Readers of Clear and Compelling can claim one month of expanded access free, using the claim form on the AI coach page with their order details. A promotional code arrives by email. No payment details are needed, and nothing renews or charges when the month ends.
Paid plans. Paid subscriptions are not available yet. Before they open, these terms will be updated with the price, renewal, cancellation, and refund details, and account holders get an email at least 14 days before any of it applies. Nothing is ever charged without your agreement at checkout.
Usage. Free access covers normal personal use. The coach shows how much of your allowance remains. If one account’s use becomes extreme enough to affect the service or its cost for everyone, you will hear about it first, and the account may be limited to a fair level.
Using the coach well
The coach is yours for your own professional growth. Please avoid:
- Sharing your account or reselling access.
- Using the coach to harass, deceive, or harm anyone, or to create anything unlawful.
- Trying to pull out the coach’s instructions, source material, or methods, or using its answers to build a competing product.
- Automated scraping, bots, or attempts to break or overload the service.
- Entering sensitive details it has no need for. The Privacy Policy explains what to leave out.
Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or closed. Where it is fair to do so, you will get a warning first.
What you own, and what Salvatore owns
Yours. What you type, say, and upload stays yours, and so do the drafts and talking points the coach creates for you. Use them however you like. You give Salvatore Manzi, Inc. permission to store and process them to run the coach for you, and to review conversations to improve it, exactly as the Privacy Policy describes. Your conversations never appear in Salvatore’s books, talks, posts, or client work.
Salvatore’s. The coach itself, its design, its instructions, the Clear and Compelling frameworks, and the material it draws on belong to Salvatore Manzi, Inc. Your access is a personal license to use the coach. It carries no rights to the methods or material behind it.
Changes to the coach
The coach will keep improving, which means features, models, and the interface will change over time. If a change takes away something central to the coach, you will hear about it by email. If the coach is ever retired, account holders get at least 30 days’ notice, plus a refund for any unused paid time.
Part three: for the website and the coach
The fine print that protects both sides
As is. THE WEBSITE AND CLEAR AND COMPELLING AI ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, SALVATORE MANZI, INC. MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE.
Limits on liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, SALVATORE MANZI, INC. IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR THE COACH. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE COACH IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50.
Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
Your part. If you misuse the website or the coach in breach of these terms and that leads to a claim against Salvatore Manzi, Inc., you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
For readers in the EU and the UK
Everything in these terms sits on top of the consumer protections your local law gives you, and none of it takes those away.
14 days to change your mind. Once paid plans open and you start a paid subscription, you have 14 days to cancel it. By starting your subscription, you ask for the service to begin right away. If you cancel within those 14 days, email support@salvatoremanzi.com and you get a refund, minus a proportional amount for the days you had access.
Where to resolve a dispute. You can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Disputes
Most problems get solved with an email, so please start with support@salvatoremanzi.com and allow 30 days for a response. If that does not settle it, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in California, except where Part three’s EU and UK section gives you the right to use your own courts. Either side may use small claims court for claims that qualify.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced to coach account holders by email at least 14 days before they apply. Continuing to use the coach after that means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, close your account before they apply.
Everything else
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement for the website and the coach. If one part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Salvatore Manzi, Inc. may transfer these terms if the business or the coach changes hands, and you will be told. Choosing not to enforce a term once never waives it.
